Try disconnecting the hard drive, see if it boots up ok without it, sometimes times these hard drives develops bad sector, seen it happens with Dish receivers, i replaced the drive, problem fix

It could be the hard drive.

But Orby is sending me a replacement receiver.

For me, the Dish flex pack was the best option. Decent package of basic channels and the availability to add/drop ESPN whenever I want without any extra fees.

DirectTV was too expensive and Orby just didn’t have enough to make it worthwhile.

Yeah I think that's probably the best value especially if you can self install. You can pick up a Wally for less and add an EHD. Less out of pocket, no contract and more programming options.
