Seems like I'm getting this on most of the satellites today with overall signal quality down. Anyone else experiencing the same? What's going on today?

Well, not sure where you are at, but we ahve had over 4" of rain since Sunday. One more day of rain! Between rain showers, it has been very cloudy. The weather at the uplink facility may be bad too.

some sats are low here in MN but its cloudy out. WOrked fine yesterday when it was raining out :)

Not sure what sat your pointed at, but they are all fine here. Could be time for you to double check connections, aiming etc.

Nothing in particular. Actually, the transponders on my TSS (True South Satellite) @ 123W are coming in just fine (even the weaker 11720/V/27690)! Could have been a fluke thing (again) because, for example, when I went to AMC5 @ 79W, the USU channels were not coming in, but the NYN channels were fairly strong. And on AMC3 @ 87W, the stronger Tip TV and Patient Channel weren't coming in at all. Nothing too out of the ordinary, I guess, as I've had these issues before and they've seemed to self clear the next day or so...or even later in the evening.

I would check all your connections, especially any that connect to a moving part. Just my .02....

something doesnt sound right. Those TP's you named are very strong unless its really pouring rain out.

It might be a bad connection somewhere

I'll check the connections going from the LNB to the motor and the cable running from the motor into the receiver. I haven't touched anything up to this point so I don't know why all of a sudden things would get out of whack. But if there was indeed was a loose cable, why would I, for example, get a strong signal on the NYN channels on AMC5, but nothing, or very low, signal quality on the USU channels?

Everything was fine this morning! Tip TV was there...the USU channels were back up. Strange. Even though I'm in California, could the loss of picture on those channels be affected by any of the mountain ranges out West? (I know it was a strange question, but I had to ask!) I didn't touch any of my connections yesterday and things work just fine today, but I still plan to go out there later today to check 'em out.

maybe its a heat sensative LNB...if it get hot during the day and cools off at night that is a possibility

Well, it was in the 90's here yesterday and supposed to be a tad warmer today. I have the Invacom Universal Single Ku .3dB LNBF (SNH-031). I don't have the spec sheet in front of me, but I did read off a fact sheet that all Invacom LNBs are tested at hot and cold temperatures to ensure reliability.
