A couple of weeks a go I posted a link to the yoijatech web site which at that time I thought was THE manufacturer of the popular Openbox family of receivers. I thought I was doing a good thing, but it wasn't, as the "new" American version of their firmware at the site turned out to be warmed over obsolete junk, in the opinion of all who have tried it. Sorry guys, I'm still learning.

A few days ago I found a search engine that deals specifically with international trading partners looking for what they want to buy/import. A search for Openbox s9 gives 46 results for manufacturers and exporters. Interesting reading.

openbox s9 Products , China openbox s9 Manufacturers, China openbox s9 Suppliers, Made in China, Exporters, Factories - DIYTrade China

Apparently this this a very popular receiver in the worldwide market. It seems that in Europe, every eyepatch has one or wants one, if you know what I mean.

I'm not sure it's explicitly illegal in other countries to clone your own card for use in your own home -- of course, that doesn't stop people from cloning them for everyone else too. Meanwhile, over here, the satellite providers won't even sell you a card for your own generic receiver, presumably out of fear that you'll make an unencrypted recording of something that you should have every right under common law to do!
