As I stated above. What is the BEST non DVB / NON Analog receiver you could get for the most AKA unknown free channels? I bring this up since there is alot of powervu receivers out there and some others that seem to support stuff that ofcourse, dVB and Analog and Even 4dtv receivers cannot get. Most I do notice need a BUD to get stuff. But I think it would be nice to have a list to check fleabay for.

Ex: digitrans 7100 or 7150 (7150 supports 4:2:2 SD)

Thanks,

Josh

I'm confused on what you are asking but I'll take a stab

Powervu is a scrambling technology of DVB and you need to subscribe to that

There is really only 2 codings/encryption/type of digial modulations and that's DCII & DVB

That is what I was thinking.

That is what I was thinking. But I might have figured there was some other goodies out there. I know that there is a list of the best powervu receiver to get. Then ofcourse there is a list of best dvb receiver to get. Analog though good is kinda dead.

So basicly I just need to get a 4dtv and powervu receiver when I get my large dish up and call it good. Since I got a analog receiver and dvb receiver already. Also thinking of a PCI card.

So really that is what we get. Also I would hate to get a older reciver that was say powervu and it sucked. But from your guys list. I got a pretty good idea what to get.

You guys are welcome to chuck in model numbers for anything I missed. Besides powervu, 4dtv (ex: 905) and DVB

Thanks,

Josh

You don't need a PowerVu receiver to receive PV ITC any DVB MPEG 2 receiver will do it. I use a Pansat 2700 and it gets ITC PV. As far as a 4DTV goes a 922, 905 or 920 will get most DCII that is not in megapipe. Only a commercial DCII will get MP but you can't sub to it anyway so if you got a DSR 4800 you will only get megapipe if it's in ZK.
