I thought I'd share this very cool youtube site I found.
Before beta and Vhs this was the consumer Reel to Reel video recorder format.
This guy has loads of these old tapes and is transferring them digitally save and share.
It's like being a time traveler.
These old tapes are incredilby hard to work with and he says the hardest of any format to save.

He seems to be THE authority in saving old video footage that was recorded in the very early 70's.
But he's done an amazing job and you can see loads of tv shows that most thought lost forever.
Amazing music performances, talk shows, news broadcasts and more.
Like a grab bag to our American history.
So great to be able to watch them.
