A few more questions

2 months later, everything has been going well. It has been going so well, I decided to add a 600 to my setup.

I made the discovery today that the 630 needs to have 2 connections unless there is something I am missing. Since I will have 2 receivers attached, will I need a multi-switch to connect to both receivers? The dish that I received has a switch where 4 cables are running from it (not the beer/oil can switch if that helps).

there there are four lines coming out; two are going to your 630; the other two are not connected to anything? in that case, one can go to your new 600. a reason to get a 4x8 (or 5x8) multiswitch would be if you have a total number of receivers that requires more than four lines.

Thanks. I thought maybe the cables coming from the dish were tied to a specific satellite. I disconnected one of the cables from the 630 and connected it to the 600 during the activation process. At that time, I was getting every other channel on the 630.
