$99 622, what is the fine print?

I've been paying the $1.99/month fee for around 3 years...did this switch to $5.99????? I've looked all over "My Account" on Dish online, and cannot find anywhere a listing of what I pay for, but I swear it's only $1.99/month. Is this a different, additional program? I have a 942 and an old 4900.
You have an older HPP that is now being offered for $5.99. I don't know if the coverage is the same. If you drop it at $1.99 you probably won't be able to pick it up again at that price, but I suspect you will be able to keep what you have at $1.99 for quite some time.

I'm still wanting to see a definitive description of what DHPP covers (couldn't find anything on the DN site). I'm under the impression that one of the benefits of leasing equipment is "free" replacements at any time during the lease for simple equipment failures (not damaged, stolen, etc.). You only need to pay the shipping (to/from?), but that fee is waived with a HPP. I also believe that DHPP reduces the fee for on-site service calls to $30. Can anyone confirm this?

TIA and BRgds...

Here's the link; it's under the Customer Care tab where it then lists DHPP Warranty:

Duuhhh ??

Tks, SteveinDanville...

I now remember seeing that information - fell out of my short term memory somehow. Too much of that happening lately...!

I guess I'm still debating the pay-back of DHPP. I'm assuming that if you lease equipment and don't have DHPP, it's still covered for the duration of the lease, but you will pay S&H (both ways?) for the replacement unit. I can handle most of my own diagnostics, etc. so I might be able to avoid a $99 service call as long as I'm not stuck with paying to replace a leased unit.

Does anyone care to comment on this?

TIA and BRgrds...
