942 Programming?

Dish SD receivers don't allow viewing of HD channels even if you subscribe to it. Does the 942 allow the HD content to go through to set #2?

Yeah, they will down convert the HD Content, the 811s do the same thing.

That's my understanding. The 942 is targeted for what Dish believes is a very common environment: one HDTV and one or more standard definition TVs.

Now, in theory, you might be able to split the HD output to two TVs as long as you don't mind both HDTVs always showing the same thing. But the TV2 port is SD only. You can download the spec sheet from the Dish site.
