Had Dish come to the house today to install the 942 and the smaller dish to pick up VOOM the install went well and had all the channels that I subscribe to working. Well about an hour went buy and the harddrive started to freeze up and go into harddrive diagnostics then it would come back on again. Did this about 5 times then all video went black, nothing,nil,zero. called dish about the problem,went through all there troubleshooting, the lady could'nt understand why I could'nt see the anything when I pushed the info button. Tried to tell her I had nothing on the TV. Black screen. Well anyway they are going to get in touch with me in 24 hours to make arrangements to swap out the reciever. for a new 942. Overall the quality of the HD channels when they were working was'nt to bad. Not eye popping like in the stores. I quess there is alot of tweaking to get the color right. I was using component cables and had to reajust the color settings on the TV.here is a phone number that you may need if you have any problems with your install.
