942 audio sync

My 942 does not sync up correctly on the optical out. The audio is too fast for the video, especially on the HD channels. If I switch to a standard channel, the sync is still bad but much improved over the HD channels. Anyone else experience this? I hate the feeling of watching a subtitle move.

i assume for audio your using optical cable, ive found optical cable always a few seconds behind.

Using optical on the 942 - no sync problems here.

I have the optical running to my stereo receiver and the hdmi hooked up to my tv. Is it possible the optical is too fast as the hdmi conversion is slowed down, either by the cord or tv? If I use the audio off the tv, I have no issues as the sound/video are through the same cable to the same endpoint. But that is no fun, leaves no reason for DD surround.

Same here and no sync problems.
