942 and Dolby Digital

First of all, I think the 942 rocks.

However, I'm seeing some real strange stuff with the tuners and Dolby Digital. Tonight I was recording some stuff. Both were in DD. But only one of them was recorded in DD and then when both were done I could not get the receiver to send DD no matter what I did.

Is this a limitation of the receiver or a bug. Heck, even my old UltimateTV receiver for DirecTV could record two shows in DD or use both tuners in DD.

I hope this is just a bug!

Also, is it me or is the guide missing some info like:

Is the program HD content
Is the program in DD

Known software bug. The dolby digital only works on the ota tuner and the main sat tuner. If you swap to the other tuner or if it was recorded on the second tuner it will only record in regular digital sound. I think they are working on it but there is no fix yet. IF you operated the 942 in dual mode it would make sense because the second tuner is to a analog tv and it is run by coax with stereo sound. I use single mode and try never to swap or use my pip any longer to stay on the main sat tuner. You can also set your record plus to record only on the tv1 tuner. Then you would always get the sound in dolby digital.
