942 and 5.1 sound?

When watching CSI:NY on CBS HD (off air) noticed that sound was presented in stereo not in 5.1 as the channel suggested. Program guide said that sound was to be presented in stereo. This doesn't make since to me. Why can't I get 5.1 when it is a digital feed?

Give you local CBS station a call and ASK THEM WHY they dont provide the DD5.1 feed that the network is offereing.

I notice they say HD or DD5.1 "where avaialble"...

The parent company covers its butt by say "Where available" so that this doesnt happen, but it happens because us guys dont read the instructions.
