A few nights ago I was viewing photos and clips of changing a 922 battery! :)

I cannot find them now!

The one(s) that I am looking for they are using the AA size battery with the holder and some had 2 holders. Any idea where to look???

I opened up my 922 and had my brother over to solder the holders in. I tried explaining the idea but I needed the info to clarify something. ;)

Thanks for the info!

It must be that when I went to sleep, after being on the computer way too late that night, the ole dream machine kicked in!!! :D

I remember these 2 posts that are listed here. But I cannot find anything more even after doing an extensive search! :o

Thanks! :)

AT YOUR OWN RISK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1
What I did was....
With the unit plugged into the wall, install a empty AA Holder first
MAKE ABSOLUTELY SURE YOU INSTALL THE BATTERY IN THE PROPER DIRECTION!!!!!!!!!!!! :)
Installed 3.6v AA Battery and quickly cut Old Battery
Remove Old Battery
Install proper Battery from Mouser.com
MAKE ABSOLUTELY SURE YOU INSTALL THE BATTERY IN THE PROPER DIRECTION!!!!!!!!!!!! :)
Quickly removed AA battery
All that with your hear beating a Million timer per second, and sweating :)

Be very careful!

Thanks! I want the method with the AA battery holder too. I am going to have my brother solder it since he works with electronics. The only concern is how to unhook the original battery. He thinks that he has a minature set of tin snips to cut the terminals easily. He is not too comfortable with making more heat for the other components while unsoldering and the risk of causing damage to the board when removing the terminals. In his shop he has seen where repairs are being made and components removed which also ruined the etching on the board. According to the serial number my unit was built in early 2001! I better get to work!
