921 failed this A.M. - Trend?

My 921 was completely un-responsive this morning.

Remote Power On Failed to do anything.

Power Switch At Unit Failed To Do Anything.

Smart Card Reboot resulted in Silver HDTV logo coming up, but no further progress

Pressing and holding Power Button Boot resulted in same logo with same ... getting no further.

Called Tech Support

Reported another individual had same problem

Fix :

pull power cord for 3 minutes
press power button on unit once
press and hold power button 7 seconds

and it came back!

Still has L213HEED-N :-(

Tech Said "... it's (the 921) still better than the webtv unit .... your units, the 521 and the 921, should have NBR by November ... they are working on it ..."

I was at a loss for words, just said " ... now that would be nice!"

If you mean a 522 when you typed 521, then it already has NBR.
If you meant 501, then you might see it then.

I do NOT expect to EVER see NBR on the 921, and considering history, we'll be better off without it.

I meant to type 501 ... as far as expecting it to come true for the 921? I do not expect any aspect to ever work well, or any feature promised to ever come. It is what it is. A pretty good HD VCR that can be trusted when you follow its rules, and not at all when you don't.

This is not a trend as 921s are generally unresponsive in the evening.
