They're MPEG4 and before 148 blew up Dish use to do this all the time (test SD channels on there)

They haven't actually made any changes at all yet. Transponder 23 is still 21500 8psk and has no channels at this time.

They could be getting ready for the Racetrack Network which is supposed to be coming this September.

Is D* carrying this as well? With Direct dropping Vs. and passing on WFN and ESPN U HD(for now), they don't seem to be placing as much of a premium on the non-major sports.

Any info on WTVC ABC Chattanooga? One other member confirmed, and I just confirmed with them that they have agreed on a contract with Dish for the carriage of the HD channel, and it is now up to Dish to broadcast it. Would be nice to have it for this Saturday.

Bump this for curiosity. How long does it take Dish to add a local HD channel after the papers are signed? Lots of games this Saturday on ABC and I really don't want to be reduced to watching them in SD for another year.
