I ,m trying to add analog station back to my list of channels, but the signal is not any good. I am using outside antenna and have always had a decent picture.Is this a problem with 811 reciever or a setting I'm missing.

It's not a problem that can be fixed, the 811 off air tuner is not a great piece of gear. I suppose you could add an amplifier to the OTA signal.
