771 Intermittent on SAT 2

Have an intermittent 771 on SAT 2 not on all channels. Varies which ones. HR 24-100

-If I switch the two cables into the receiver the problem stays with SAT2
-Sometimes when I switch the cables, when I begin to remove SAT1 the picture comes in.
-When there is no problem the signal levels for Tuner 1 & 2 are within 1 point of each other
-When I can catch the problem on the satellite signal level it is "0" on several satellites, both Tuners 1 & 2

My suspicion is a bad coax connector on the back of the receiver. Thanks for any suggestions.

Your signals from 99 and 103 are just far too low. They might be dropping randomly below the threshold for good reception.
99c, 103ca and 103cb should all be in the high 80s , preferably mid 90s.

Looks like an alignment problem although your 101/119 signals are good.

As texasbrit noted, your dish is out of alignment. If you can, check the mounting screws to be sure everything is tight.
 
Thanks for the input but I failed to mention that when I can catch the signal levels when the problem is happening all of the 101 channels were zero.

That points to an intermittent connection. But your signals are still poor. Get a service call from DirecTv and they will fix it.
