in the mornings when i turn on the tv and push the select button i am stuck watching that channel for a few minutes. it will not respond to any signals from the remote. which is weird since it will respond to the select button when i push it to get off the standby screen. it has been like this for as long as i have had it so i thought it was just one of those things. now it seems to take longer to respond to the remote. anyone else have this problem with their 722?

LCD TVs cause these problems. Here are a few things that I've done to help with this problem (I have a Toshiba LCD).
1: Turn on the 722 before turning on the TV.
2: Move the receiver so that when you use the remote the beam does not cross in front of the TV.
3: You can reduce the brightness on the TV and it will help with this issue.
I always do #1. It's a little annoying but you get used to it.

The main problem seems to be the back light on the LCD TV's emitting IR radiation until they get warmed up (up to 20 minutes).
