Hi all.

I have a 722 hoohed up to 42 LCD via HDMI
Curious about the photo quality output to HDTV.
If I upload high quality photos will the output be the same as well??

Would the output be the same or worse as looking at a photo cd or dvd?

thanks for any info.
Joe

Yeah, Its not really worth it.

I put a few pictures on my flash drive and copied them to my receiver just to mess with it to see if it worked. The pictures are OK - but they only come up in like "medium" resolution. I then realized that my LG HDTV has a USB port on the side that does the same function - and I use that because it shows the pictures in MUCH better FULL RESOLUTION 1080p quality vs the 1080i medium compressed quality that I was getting with my 722 - AND the worst thing about using the photo feature on my 722 - you can't DELETE the pictures! so now I have all these random pictures on my hard drive that WON'T let me remove them. I eventually gave up, and its been that way for a year now.

/end of rant

Try deleting them again. I couldn't delete any for a while either and I just tried when I read your post and it will delete them now.

Interesting....I tired doing that today and couldn't even get in!

I pushed the DVR button 1 time and went down to "My Media" I then see where it says "my photos" but can't access it because a popup comes up and says "There is no multimedia device connected to the USB port" and if I try to clear it, it just exits me out....it dosn't let me go back to my old photos that where stored in there?

Try Menu-4-1.

Can anyone plug their digital camera into the 622/722 and have it work anymore ? It quit working for me, and others, a few s/w updates ago and there's been very little mention of this. I guess that shows how un-popular this feature was anyway...

To answer the original question, the picture quality, as others have said, is rather disappointing.
