722 loses audio for 10-15 seconds

My 722 has recently started losing audio at random intervals for 10-15 seconds at a time. It happens on both tuner 1 (HDMI to TV) and tuner 2 (backfed coax) so it's not TV specific. I've tried soft and hard resets and I'm not sure what else to try. I'm on the service plan so could probably get a replacement but I don't have an EHD to back up my recorded shows. I don't use OTA so if I were to get a replacement, would a 722k be better? what would I gain from the K?
