I used to have a 625; it was awesome. I replaced it with a 722; it's not as awesome, but it does HD & OTA. I'm thinking about adding a 625 or another 722 in another room (I want 4 tuners), but all I have is the wiring from the original installation (dp/wing dish -> dp2/d500 -> seperator -> 625). What would I need to change to add another dual-tuner box ?

I used a DishMover to install the location a little over 2 years ago, then paid for a service call to relocate the dish, then a free upgrade installation when I upgraded to 722+HD 8 months ago. I think that I'll have to do the installation myself this time to save cash. Am I correct about that, or will my activation/lease fees qualify me for a free pro installation?

Since you will not be replacing a like receiver, but adding another receiver, unless you plan to purchase the new receiver I believe dish will require professional installation. Either way, if I remember correctly, installation only makes a difference of $50 in the lease/upgrade fees.

Thanks for that. I'm really more concerned about the wiring than the cost, but cost does come into the question. Do I need a switch? Do I need to run 2GHz quad cables everywhere?

The installation should cover anything needed to install the new system. If the cables are not sufficient (or non-existent), the tech should install them. If your only current receiver is (1) ViP 722 then your current dish setup (as I understand it you have a dish 500 with A Dish Pro Plus Twin, and a wing dish wired into the DPPlus Twin) should support an additional receiver without any need for additional switches.

Problem with the 722 since being "turbo charged"

119 and 129 with Dish 500?
