7200 slow and freezing

My DVR has been slow to respond for the last week. When watching recorded tv is keeps freezing. Any idea's?

Are you sure its a 7200? I thought Dish decommissioned those a long time ago

Presumably you mean you have ViP720 DVR.

It has been recommended that the first thing to do is uplug the DVR and leave it unplugged for about a minute or so to allow the hard drive to spin down. Then plug it back in an see if there is any difference in response when it finished booting.

Probably low signal from sats. Is it the only affected receiver?
