DIRECTV How much time do I have to swap my equipment in order to keep viewing local channels?
This is the schedule for local market channel shutdowns on the 72.5 satellite. Generally these markets move to 99/103 and require an upgrade to HD equipment to continue receiving local channels. Often for SD only customers they will provide HD equipment but SD channel access only unless you add HD access for $10/mo. (Though if you have an HDTV, they will usually offer the first 2 years of HD access free if you do autopay).
