70% of Consumers Haven't Heard of 4K TV

I'll probably get a 4K computer monitor before I get a 4K TV. Pretty-much ALL of my computers have video cards with DisplayPort, which is already good to go for 4K 60Hz. I'd have to upgrade every component that carries a video signal in order to do 4K in my main A/V room.

As will everyone else. The $hock may temper some of the ardor.

They will hear of it of course once all the TVs have been converted. Just like 3D all the TVs will be capable but, content will be the hard thing to come by...

Oddly, I have read of a few models coming out with no 3D features (that the previous model may have included), even though it now costs almost nothing to include it.

I guess if I ever get a UHDTV, I'll expect 3D capability, even though I do not currently favor the feature.
