Wonder why they only removed certain channels from SD from 61.5 and not all of the SD channels?

I would say because all those feeds are now the HD downrezed to 480I. Also guessing there will be more letterboxing now. Many cable channels are ending their SD transmissions.

It's about time letterboxing is here. Europe has had that for way over a decade...

As you might have noticed in this weeks uplink report DISH has started removing SD channels from the Eastern Arc.

Over the next month DISH will be removing all the SD channels from the Eastern Arc which they carry in HD.
