I realize that, but the 4000 range is not a range used for our spots, or is it just a temporary location until they are finally uplinked for real?

I thought they were just remapping them to that range. Same channel same transponder as the channels from 5500-5593, just a duplicate. It looks like they're trying to put the same type of channels in the same general area. Most of the sports are from 4315-4323 now.

I thought the symbols at the end (A)vailable (H)ide meant that they're available to subscribers, in this case Alaska customers with the Alaska HD package. I would have thought we would see them by now.

That's what I thought. With the A and H we should be seeing them in the 4000 range on our schedule but as you say, we aren't.

The (A) in layman's terms means Available to subscribers that are authorized to received the package the channel is assigned to.

Even though they are available doesn't mean they are available to say someone with the biggest package out there they can buy. This isn't the first time we've seen these 4000 range channels.

The more I see....the more MPEG 4 SD channels make no sense for PR. Not to mention...to upgrade to VIP box...the price we have to pay is too much. Now...if Dish make those VIP HD box upgrade similar to US....& announce that on the 20th PR chat...then its another thing.

Still...I m left with nothing else but with confusion. Dish could easily have crossed HD count of 40 by uplinking HD channels

offer of free "villas and castillas"....lol...I hope Dish gives same offer the existing subs....since it will be IMO cheaper for them...since there is no expenditure of new sats...wiring...switches etc. Well...thanks for the advise Nel.....I still have sometime to go in my contract....so will see after it expires.

noticed something with Lima
3 full powered stations (WLIO, WTLW, WBGU) all carried...NBC, Religious, PBS
1 low powered station (WOHL) also carried.....hybrid Fox/My Network
2 low powered stations (WLQP & WLMO) not carried....ABC & CBS in market

all 3 low powered stations owned by same people....very odd that one is uplinked and not the other 2. I know LP stations cant ask for must-carry but odd that all 3 arent carried sicne they are big networks

They are both Fox affiliates which are digital subchannels on ABC. Max Media bought the 3 Fox stations in Montana from Equity broadcasting and those folks went a month with no Fox station OTA or on Dish....folks are probably mad that they missed the All Star game

Don't get me started on baseball. They need a salary cap and revenue sharing.

As long as Fox is up in time for football season, I can make due.
