622 to 722

I have a 622 that is acting up. Dish wants to send me a replacement, might be a 722. If I copy everything over to my External will I be able to restore on the new unit?

Yes.

I upgraded from 622 to the 722 and I'm glad I did. My HDMI went out on the 622.
