Newbie here, been lurking for a while.....

I am building a new home. I will not be ready for DN for about 4-6 months. I will get the 622 (I think) when I am ready for our family room. I was going to split the signal coming out of the receiver and run it to a TV that will be loacted in the kitchen. So whatever the family room is watching is what the kitchen would get. It appears that be looking at the specs of the 622 that TV could actually watch another channel on the 622? But, it looks like only through the RCA type A/V inputs. What would be the maximum length that at RCA cable could carry a signal? If there is another way to do this please let me know.

Thanks in advance for the help

Get a channel 3/4 modulator at RS or CC and connect it to TV2 outputs and run the 622 in dual mode. Run RG6 to the second TV. Works great here on the 942.

The ViP622 has a modulator built in which will carry both TV1 and TV2 outputs, on different channels, to additional TVs over coax cable. No additional modulator needed.

Okay, another question re 622 output.

If I use component cables to main HD tv, what is the longest HDMI cable that can be used to carry HD to a second HD tv (for same channel)??

It's better to do it the other way I think, HDMI to main tv, Component to the second tv.
On ebay, you can purchase very long Component cables
