Is it possible to use Homelink to connect one 622 to another with the other using the ethernet port?

I'm about to get cable internet and dump both our dsl and home phone.

Are you asking if you can connect each to the network o whether you can connect them to each other?

I want to connect one to my router, and allow my 2nd one to use homelink to connect to the first one, as to avoid having either on the phone line.

jason, yeah, connect one to the router and set that one up as the modem, then hooke the second one up to that one (via homelink) what you want to do is perfect for the use of homelink (BPL)

Doing that will still make DISH happy since both will be able to talk to DISH without the phone line correct?

All this to save $10 a month in mirroring fees for the 2nd tuners of both boxes, lol.

If you're talking about homeplug, then once you connect a bridge (netgear xe102) to your router and a 110v power outlet in your home, both 622 receivers will be on the network, then you don't have to connect either one directly to the router.

yeah jason, as long as the one hooked up to the router is dialing home it will save the 10 a month, also just to warn you it might take a month to two for dish to get the credits worked out

I believe I have everything connected correctly.

I was able to send log files and have both receivers send their status to DISH successfully.

Is there a way to tell on the receiver if it's connecting to DISH okay?

Well, I thought I had everything done correctly.

The first receiver is connected via ethernet and works just fine sending a status update over the internet.

The second receiver won't connect at all. Both receivers see each other. I have the second receiver set to use a remote modem. It wont send a status update.

What's the deal?

Ah well....
