My first question is a noob one but I have a 6.1 receiver with HD DVD/BD/Sat/360 hooked up to it. Every 360 game and every HD/BD I have played is 5.1 audio, same with Satellite tv which means that my rear center is virtually useless. What is the point of a 6.1/7.1 receiver if nothing (aside from SD DVD's such as star wars and LOTR) is transmitting 6.1/7.1 audio?
Second question is pertaining to my receiver which is when I watch a movie on HD or BD all of the surround options (cinema mode, etc) come up "option not available" is this because it is hooked up via HDMI or because the audio is transmitted via raw bitrate and the receiver is picking what is best?
