5900 fortec

hi everyone i have a 5900 fortec and i get no signal at all,i put my ultra
and it work great does anyone know what could be wrong.

lots of things (since there wasn't much info listed)
-what type of LNB do you use?
-what satellite are you trying to get?
-did you put it on an active transponder?
-is the LO frequency correct?

I had one of these and was up and running (with my existing system) in about 10 minutes

39" dish
satellite aming at amc4 got 90 on fortec ultra
yes i did put on a active transponder
i'm not sure what you mean by lo frequency correct?
its just doesn't what to catch signal for some reason
is there a file update that i don't know of,i went to fortec
to see if there any update saw nothing .

Since its a universal lNB, make sure its set for universal. This would be 9750/10600

no new software for that one...sorry

if you go to manual scan, pick the transponder and change the FEC from 3/4, 5/6 or whatever it is to "auto". That seemed to do the trick for me on some TP's
