522 vs 721?

Whats the differents between the 522 and 721 and is the 721 any better than the 522?
I cannot believe we have to pay $5.00 per month DVR fee for the 522, something that isn't perfected yet! I wish they would get this thing working properly. Im starting to think its not a software problem and probably a hardware problem, which means it will probably never get fixed.

The 522 is only available to people via lease, the 721 is not.

The 522 can output two seperate programs to two seperate TV's - The 721 can not

The 721 has no DVR fee the 522 does plus if its not hooked into a phoneline it is subject to an additional $5 a month fee.

The 721 is discontinued the 522 is not.

I have been a customer for about 6 months with a 522 and 322 and have paid an additional $5.00 for an additional receiver and a $4.98 fee for VOD (video on demand).

What you have said is really confusing...

When I first signed up I called them about the two above fees a couple times and they had different explanations every time but they all agreed that the charges on my bill were correct.

Scott, please enlighten us more about this...

Scott mistyped. The 721 has no VOD fee. The 522 DOES have a VOD fee.

The 721 also has A/V inputs, which can allow another source (DVD, VCR, Camera, etc...) to be used in the PIP (not VOD though). The 522 does not.

IIRC, the 921 (not 721) can NOT do that trick.
