522 Timer Question

When I set a timer (either in Dual/Single) with Record Plus enabled/disabled, it does not give me a choice of which TV to record to. I have followed the provided instructions precisely and it still continues to record to TV2 without giving me a choice.

Any suggestions?

You don't ever get a choice. If you have Record Plus enabled, and TV2 set as the default, that's where it will record UNLESS TV2 is found to be busy when you schedule the event. In that case, TV1 will be used. But YOU, personally, do not have a choice. This is how it works if you are doing the scheduling from TV1.

If you are doing the scheduling from TV2 with the above setup, it will ALWAYS schedule on TV2. It will never flop over to TV1. At least not in my experience.

The only way I know of to choose a tuner, is to disable Record Plus and then schedule from the TV that you want the recording to occur on.

hey..thanks for the advice. I think you're right. I'll just remember to set the timer from the TV I want to do the recording on.
