Hi everyone,

I think I am pretty much SOL but I was wondering if any of you might know some trick to get me up and going again.

I have a few shows that I record daily. About every 3 days or so my DVR (510) will get stuck at the end of the show it is recording. The record light will stay lit after the end of the show, and nothing else works again until I pull out the card and reset the box.

After the reboot the show it was attempting to record is listed in the menu but does not play.

I've never seen any sort of error messages and other than this annoying problem everything seems to work great.

I'm sure it is out of warranty by now, it's a year or so old.

Any Ideas? (Other than using it as a door stop, I have my old replayTV for that allready.)

DVR 510 110/119/129 Software: P303, DP34 Switch

Thanks
-Kris

um, redo the timers and see if that helps.

Do a manual timer, manually stop it, and see if it works.

Outside of erasing all the contents on the box, i'm at a loss...

One of my 510's did that last week. I did a soft reboot and fixed that problem however still have the same issues which have been reported in other threads after the last software update.

That's weird, I had that happen last week as well. Never before and no new firmware (I have mine set to ask before downloading). The soft-boot fixed it for me too.

Check and see if you have P303 now. I could be wrong but I think that when you reboot a receiver it will take the latest version regardless if you have it set to ask before downloading.

I did have 303 which I accepted about a month ago, but never saw the stuck record problem until a few days ago. Just accepted 304 this morning. Anyone know what's in it?
