510 lost 4 days of recordings, can it be recovered ?

When I turned on my 510 today I realized it had deleted the last 4 days of recordings (4/5-4/8) !!!! This is the first problem I have had with the 510. I have been recording daily since Jan, and have been recording
the deep space 9 start trek series. I have now lost an episode. All the other programming I can live without but its annoying that the device just deletes files for no reason.

1) Does anyone know why the 510 deleted several days ?
2) What operating system is the 510 using, embedded XP, embedded linux ?
3) Has anyone been able to pull the drive and recover data on there computer ? I wonder if they are wiping the files or just deleting. If just deleting maybe I can undelete the file.

Since the 3.0 software, people have been having these problems. It should be Linux based and people say there is a way to recover but I have not the slightest clue.

I saw some sort of utility what make a lot infomation from your disk, but how to utilise it ? Check that Yahoo group dishmod.
