508 for 222k Dual

I have Super Dish 121 i am only using the 110/119 sats with a 34 switch , i have one 508 with hard drive problems and 2, 311 can i replace the 508 with a 222k dual will this receiver work with the satellite set up that i have know.

yes. the 222k works with all DN sats. . .i have two of those atm using.

you can, but... the 222 won't have DVR like the 508, and since it's a Duo receiver it will need two feeds in off your SW34

I have the top 250 SD channels do i need to change my programing to HD if get the 222k or i can keep what i have know the 250 SD.

You would not need to upgrade the programming, however, unless you purchase the 222k, the work order will likely include a dish upgrade, especially if you go through DISH Network directly. Its certainly not a bad thing, as the tech visit will include that. If they get you a 1k.2 dish, you should still be able to operate the 311s. If its going to be a 1k.4, get WHUP'd (Whole Home UPgraded). If you have other questions, you can certainly ask them here.
