500 Dish and vip211k receiver

I have a vip211k receiver and an old series 500 dish. Are these two compatible and if so, what would be the settings on the 500 dish. I live in central arkansas. Thanks for any info

Yes, you can use the Dish 500, you will not get much HD though since most is on 129, your HD locals could be there as well. The numbers would be under the point dish screen or you can use DishPointer link at top of the page.

You can try pointing at 149 azimuth, 44 elevation, and 65 skew. Should get you the 61.5 & 72.7 satellites and most all the HD you subscribe to.
