5 minutes then powers off

My Uniden UST 4600 receiver has developed a problem after a power surge. There were no lights on the unit after the power was restored. I unplug it then reconnect. The clock flashes. I press power on button. All displays back to normal and all channels working. FOR 5 MINUTES!! --then channel gets scrambled, goes black, clock flashes then all lights go out on front panel. Could my VCRS module be damaged?

Sounds like a good time to upgrade to 4dtv
