I have a couple of 625 I got cheap at the thrift store. $1K balance on each of them, but the 250GB drives work fine in an external enclosure for ViP622 storage.
I just happen to have some 4R160L0 lying around. These used to work in the 522 and were on the "approved" list. Without a hard drive at all the 625 thinks it's a 522. I'm thinking I should at least have a working drive for these in case I can get the balance cleared somehow. So I put a 160GB drive in it after deleting all partitions and it doesn't work. The box never comes to "on" or "standby".
If I then take the drive and put it in a computer I see three partitions have been created of 1.86GB, 95.93GB, and 54.88GB.
Ideas or suggestions?
