4K setup

I just bought a new 4K TV that is Directv ready. I now have 2 HR 24-100's with an AM-21 on each. I know I need a new Genie and a Genie Mini. Will they work with the AM-21? If I keep one of the HR24's, will it communicate the the Genie for whole home viewing? I have to decide if it's worth it to not loose all my recorded shows. Thanks

The AM21 does work with the Genie, you just need to save the AC power cord from a HR24 since the Genie uses an external power brick.

if you plan to utilize the 4k resolution, then you're already at 2 receivers, if you keep one HR24 then you're at 3 with only 2 locations being able to be utilized. only you can decide if the extra $7 is worth keeping your recordings.
