Is there a difference between the 4K Joey and the Joey 3, or they the same? I am having a new Dish installation and want the most up to date Joey.
Yes there is a difference. Joey 3 is the newest, but only the 4K Joey will do 4K.Is there a difference between the 4K Joey and the Joey 3, or they the same? I am having a new Dish installation and want the most up to date Joey.
4K Joey was the fastest of the old Joeys, so there may not be much improvement in speed by going with Joey 3 instead. Joey 3 is smaller than the older Joeys, if that makes a difference to you.Are there any other differences between them? Is one faster than the other?
It is really up to you to decide. If you want 4K at the second TV (when you get another 4K TV) you will need the 4K Joey. If you want to save a little money (since there is an upfront charge to get a 4K Joey as far as I know) then the Joey 3 would be the best option.Size doesn't make any difference at all, only performance. I only have one 4K tv at the time, but may be ordering more. Would like to have the one that has the best performance and speed. Any recommendations?
Best bet is a Joey 3, and if you want IPTV 4K, get a Roku Premier/Ultimate. Dish provided 4K is " slightly occasional" at best.It is really up to you to decide. Sure it is. I've installed a fewJoey 3 isn't "available" for installs yet.

Joey3s are not 4K capable...I called back a few days ago to check on my Installation order and a CSR and her supervisor told me I couldn't have two H3s on one account. When I made the decision to shift from DTV I made sure that I could (I have 8 tvs). Finally I was transferred to an "account specialist" who knew all about putting two H3s on an account and he made sure that all notes reflected it. He said to call them if I had problems in the future. I was also told that all my Joeys would be 4K capable (they are listed as Joey 3 on the order). Being new to DISH, I don't know a lot about their equipment but I am learning. Thanks for your information.
54 remotes come with all the Hooper/Wallyreceivers now, unless you get one that has been in a warehouse for awhile. I did 3 Wallys the other day that had 40 remotes in them still. Joey 3's should most definitely have 54's.What remote comes with the Joey 3?
