Recently, my 4DTV has been erroneosly showing a digital panel on an analog channel. Last night, when I was on G7-17 the screen displayed a digital panel and when I brought up the satellite list it showed I was on X4 even though I was on G7 (was watching Reelz). Not to mention the DCII audio and video started getting choppy several months ago. Battery was replaced a year ago and everything was fine then. Is there something I'm overlooking or is my 4D bricked? Model 922.

When this happens, take a look on diagnostic screen A.
It would appear from what you are saying that your receiver took a trip counter hit while on G7.
Yes there are active channels on G7 that you can receive a hit on.
Since I am not near my list I can not say if the maps for channel 17 is one of them.
When some receivers take a hit on other satellites the receiver thinks it is on x4 and x4 will show on the screen when you press view.
I have seen this before on a 922 receiver and no there is nothing wrong with the receiver.
It is the way the hits are being sent out to the receiver that causes this to occur.
