I wonder if some of the more informed members could put a primer together on 4DTV. I am well versed in FTA satellite in many areas but much of the 4DTV is still Greek to me.
Since in order to keep 4DTV viable it's important to get new people into this aspect of satellite TV. There are so many different things on these threads as far as the best receiver for the price, where to purchase, how to program, what if the receiver is locked, the various types of 'maps' and what you need to get the (ZK I believe?) DCII unencrypted channels without having a subscription, all the satellite names are different from what we are used to, ect. I'm putting in a 8' dish as soon as spring hits and although I love FTA, I'm interested in subbing for perhaps at least a few of the ala cart type channels and so a primer for someone who wants to get their feet wet would certainly be a plus!!
Thanks in advance;
