Hi guys. I am new to this and live in Canada. I just got a 4dtv receive in a yard sale for $10. On the back of the unit a sticker says its a 921 but on the bottem a plate says its a 920. The vc 11 unit is blue and has the date feb 1993 before starchoice so my question is what do I have.

I believe the one you want is a US Ver 922..Presuming you are in the US! Starchoice is Canadian...I had their Ver of the HDD200 but that was no big deal./..worked fine. It has been replaced by a Motorola Hdd200 w/ upgraded firmware (sold the first one years ago when there was only HBO and SHO HD....) Only a little more these days but My newer HDTV NEEDS FOOD!

Hey Jeff, I think the OP is from the Great White North. A 921 should work well for him.

The US versions have issues with overloading if you park your Ku dish on the starchoice sats. I don't know if works the other way around.
