Has ESPN Classic always been a part of the sports pack? We can get every other sports channel without the sports pack but this one? weird

Has ESPN Classic always been a part of the sports pack? We can get every other sports channel without the sports pack but this one? weird

A couple weeks ago DISH instituted the requirement that if you want ESPN Classic you must subscribe the Sports Pack (similar arrangement for Big Ten Network); there was no reason given for this action. ESPN has plans to change ESPN Classics format to include more live sports, so there is more to this than just Sports Pack.
