E5 is EchoStar 5 and it is scheduled to go to 148w to replace the now defunct EchoStar 2 and the EchoStar 1 which is scheduled to go to 77w.

TheKrell, there was a reported "Software" problem in some thread. It is not known where the problem was.

Yes. You can also check at DISH Network (dishnetwork) on Twitter and sometimes if you check for available locals by zip code at the E* site, the HD locals will be listed the morning when they are scheduled to be uplinked.

I wonder if the problem was on the ground or on the satellite. My first thought was a delay in fiber to an uplink center, but the FCC docs said software problem? Perhaps they view the data stream as software and it was not going to the right uplink center.

I still think the whole twitter thing is stupid, especially with these 10 yr olds posting on the dishnetwork one... basically just a dumbed down myspace with just comments since you only read half of the conversation. But whatever... what's the #HDTuesday mean? Is that his ID or something?

Guess normal internet forum software that has been around for years has me spoiled.

I think it's a Tag, so if you have a twitter account you can click on the tag and it will filter out all the other stuff and just display the items with #HDTuesday in it.

They usually do this and #FollowFriday on Friday's.
