And what do you plan to get at Best Buy? I wouldn't spend money on a new AVR. 3D is basically a dead end for the home consumer. ESPN dropped their 3D channel. Even the 3D thread here died a long time ago.
Not if you watch 3D blu-ray. One of the biggest selling points for blu-ray is HD lossless sound if you have an HDMI AVR that supports it. If you have an older AVR without HDMI 1.4 you can't take advantage of lossless audio and a 3D picture at the same time unless you have a high end blu-ray player with multiple HDMI outs. A few years ago I replaced a Sony HDMI 1.3 AVR with a new Onkyo just for HDMI 1.4 because I was sick of being limited to DD5.1 on 3D blu-ray.
The 3D movie thread on this site is still pretty active and there are new movies coming out in 3D all the time. Full time 3D channels might soon be a thing of the past but the market for 3D movies is not dead.
