37" LCD Choice & Programming

First I am shopping for a LCD HD LCD. Don't want to go over 2000$ to bad. My current choice is the Sharp LC-37D4U.

What do you guys think of it? Being a panel I figure it will be the best choice for my smallish living room. Will DVD's appear any better on this versus SD monitor?

Next issue is programming. My cable co does not support HD and I am 60+ miles from nearest metro area and in a hole. I also want DVR. At first I will need a 4 room system but later(~6 months) my situation may change and I may only need 2 rooms. Only need HD on one TV and DVR on 2.

So is Dishnetwork or DirecTV going to be best choice? I also want locals but I hear neither choice will get me HD locals. SD locals will do I guess. Would be nice to also have remote HD networks or something.

I also have a Superdish already which I bought off ebay sometime ago. Any good suggestions out there?

1. FYI: Directv is not even close to Dish when it comes to HD.

2. There are 37" TVs with 1080p support, why not buying one of those?

3. Superdish is perfect, all you need is an additional dish for Voom channels, I think. But it sounds like you need a lot of STBs, so I would rather call up Dish and make some nice deal with them for everything. Don't mention your Supperdish, rather sell it, so you can easily come down to $0 bottom line after install and sale, I guess.

I am not finding any. Could you point some out? I am also considering the Samsung LN-R408D now but it is not 1080p either.

Less channels, usually a bit lower quality - though Dish recently joined the HD-Lite club as well by lowering its exclusive Voom channels from full 1920 to 1280x1080i. :down

Sharp also has it but only in 45": http://www.sharpusa.com/products/AQUOS/0,2338,,00.html - choose 45" modells, all of the are 1080p for a while now.
