311 receiver says You need authorization

I was swapping out a 311 receiver with one I purchased on eBay. I ve been waiting for 3 hours and my subscribed channels have not come on. I asked dish to rehit the receiver but still the same problem.
Has anyone had this problem recently?

"receiver says your smart card does not currently have authorization to view" error 005

Did what HiFi and Bobby suggest work? P4.80 is the current software version on the 311.

I just checked and the software is at 4.38 so I turned off receiver to receive update.

So it's updated ,but it still gives the error. Do you think I may need a hit to my receiver?

hit system info and make sure the S# starts S19

Is the smart card inserted all the way? you will get this message sometimes if Smart card is not all the way in.

4 of my recievers did the same thing today,
they went down at exactly midnight last night, i know because i was watching leverage wen it happened.
all the sudden, i had a 371 error code and the ones i could tune to,(only the free ones) had a popup 005 error code, even nasa channel

Maybe the audit team hit you if you had four receivers.
