We have a weekend place that we bring one of our receivers with us from home when we go there (I heard Charlies say on a Charlies Chat years ago that this was OK with them; it's no different than havong one in an RV, really).
Anyway, we left one of the 311's in the vacation house when we left the last time, since it's from the spare bedroom at home. We got to the vacation house yesterday, and it wouldn't power up. Unplugging the receiver, holding down the power button, etc., wouldn't work. So I run to Radio Shack and pick up a replacement. I plug that one in, go through the Check Switch, acquiring satellites, etc., Until I get to the "Call Dish to Activate" screen. I do that and have them remove the other receiver. A few minutes later I hold down the power button to reset the receiver (like they told me to), and now the new receiver won't power up!
